Best grown in an average to dry, or moist, well-drained soil, in partial to full shade. Will grow in full sun when adequate moisture is provided. Vinca can tolerate periods of drought, but flowering may suffer.

Additional Notes

Vinca minor is introduced and invasive in much of North America. Grow Me Instead recommends alternates such as Geranium maculatum, (Wild geranium) Asarum canadense, (Wild Ginger) among others.
